Easy One-pot Chili

Chili Recipe

Our neighbor brought her Chili to a fourth of July block party, and it was a total hit. We asked her to tell us how she made it, thinking it was an elaborate recipe, but to our surprise, it required minimal cooking. Since then, I’ve done some experimenting with the recipe and made it my own.

You can add or take away some of the ingredients to make it your own also, but so far the recipe I am about to share has been the best version of this chili.

This easy one-pot chili can be enjoyed by everyone in as little as 20 minutes. My favorite thing about this recipe is that the prep work and cleaning are minimal!

How to cook the Chili

Most of the ingredients are ready to go. The prep time is approximately five (5) minutes to chop your onion, jalapenos, and sausage.

You will want to saute your onion and jalapenos before adding the sausage and ground beef.

I use a pot under medium heat and add the olive oil, onion, and jalapeno. I then add the sausage and then the ground beef. You’ll want to cover the pan and stir occasionally.

Once your beef has cooked, I recommend draining the grease, especially if you are not using lean ground beef.

Now, all you need to do is add the remaining ingredients. Mix them thoroughly and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer.

Serve your dish with any toppings you like and enjoy this easy one-pot chili.
